Personal Statement
For as long as I can remember I’ve had a competitive work ethic and work to be the best at whatever I’m doing. As a student, athlete, alter server in our church and #2 of 4 children, I’ve learned to work hard to earn any and all recognition. As an example, I was awarded the Archie Griffin award in 8th grade given to the top student athlete who demonstrated sportsmanship as well as academic achievements on a consistent basis. I have been a 3 sport athlete since a child but have grown to love baseball based on the strategy and statistics involved in the sport. As I continue through my academic journey I hope to leverage my strength in math to pursue a course of study in statistics. My drive for competition is demonstrated through leading by example and challenging others to work harder than I do. I work daily to develop as a leader in all aspects of my life and continuously learn from others. I am an exceptional teammate and very coachable! My goals are to help my team win in any way possible and to play baseball in college. Thank you for your time!
