Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Ryley Naughton and I am a 2026 back catcher who is looking for a program with a good academic and baseball program. I envision my college years to be a personal growth period. On the field, I plan to be a dynamic player and a positive influence on the team.  As I grow both physically and mentally throughout my baseball career, I will strive to be an asset behind the plate and in the batting lineup. Most importantly, I will conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the field, knowing that the way I carry myself reflects my team, my coaches, and the college I hope to attend. I strive each and every day to improve myself, not only as an athlete, but as a person as well.  Whether it be on the field, or in the classroom my goal is always to get better than I was yesterday. As a athlete, my goal is to continue to strive for excellence on the field, in the classroom, and in life.  I don't back down from a challenge and I'm not afraid to fail.  I approach all situations with confidence, and a strong desire to compete at a high level.  Thank you for your time.
