Preston Vieira '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Preston Vieira. I am a Catcher/OF in the class of 2024. I have a great passion for baseball, which I make a priority alongside my academics.

I strive to be the best baseball player every time I step on the field. I am seen as a leader amongst my teammates and coaches throughout many years.

I am vocal on the field which makes my ability to control the field as the catcher very important. I am also vocal off the field and in the dugout by supporting my teammates and trying to make them the best they can be.

I have a high baseball IQ with my ability to call a full game without any difficulties. I can see a play develop and understand the position I must be in and where the ball must go next to save runs.

In the box I have the ability to hit for a high average, as well as for power. I also have great pitch recognition and discipline, which creates a high on base percentage with walks and a low strikeout percentage.

In the classroom I maintain a 4.0 GPA taking all academic classes. I can manage my time well through playing 2 varsity sports in high school, training with my club team, my academics, as well as free time I spend with friends, family, and hobbies.
