My goal is to obtain a degree that will assist me in pursuing my goal to join the military and/or police. Athletics has taught me discipline, leadership, ethics, integrity and drive - these are qualities that I feel I carry over into my college goals and my career goals. I feel I'm a good candidate for your team because I am dedicated to my chosen sport, willing to put in the time to develop my skills, always wanting to develop and improve, and have aspirations to take my skills to the highest level. My family has housed some of the top softball players in the world (ISC World Champions); both from Australia and New Zealand. These men have inspired me to push myself to play the best I can and at the highest level. My goal is to play at that level for many years.
I feel what makes me different from other recruits is the fact that I was raised in a home that taught me values, morality, and integrity in all I do. The expectation in my family is to compete to the best of my ability, but remain humble and recognize that I can always improve. I am a committed athlete, willing to do the extra training in the off season and keep my body in the best shape possible. I have played a variety of sports - all at elite levels - and am familiar with the politics involved. I choose to play the game for the love of it and steer clear of attitudes that can sometimes take away from the love of the game. Academically, I maintain good grades and seem to excel in math, physical education and English. Academics has always come easily to me and I realize that I need to be sure that I don't take that for granted and apply myself to ensure my grades are maintained.
I love sports...but I know that school is important for my future goals.
