Personal Statement

What separates me as a ball player is my spark. I am always in the dugout and field ready to play, and supporting my teammates no matter what. I also have a higher IQ and drive than most players, so I am always ready to make a play. Likewise I am always communicating with my teammates on and off the field to continue to improve ourselves.  My work ethic is also a key part to my success as I am always striving to become a better ball player.

My aspirations for college is to compete on the field, while working hard in the classroom. I hope to take pre-law and eventually move to law school.

  • Levi continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities at the Arizona Jr Fall Classic. At 3B, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active as attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and works through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. At the event, he was 3 for 9 with a 3B. On the mound, delivery is sound / repeatable as he shows good tempo through a strong balance point, allowing his arm action to work quick and free to the plate. Fastball shows a range of 77-79 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sink. Control is outstanding as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.   • 10/27/2021 - Baseball Factory Best of The West - Upperclass Levi is a gamer who leaves it all on the field and showed well at the Best of the West. At 3B, he shows active prep as he works into a low/athletic fielding position, tracking GB's into a soft mitt. Transfer from glove to throwing hand it smooth as he works through and gains ground toward his target. Offensively, this lefty stands in tall and remains patient, waiting for a pitch he likes. Swing it level to contact as he barrels the ball up and hits hard line-drives (collected a double and a walk in 5 AB's). On the mound, this RHP remains composed and works the ball in and out. He is quick to the plate and works to pound the zone and get ahead early in the count. Breaking ball has 11/5 shape while changeup shows some arm-side run. On the mound, he works to a controlled balance point, has smooth separation and fires from a clean/loose arm action. He gets strong glove-side lead and stays directional toward the dish. FB ranges from 77-80 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball shows 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At 3B, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well front. He moves well laterally with range increasing as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry (84 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying well above average hitting abilities with solid power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach.
