Baseball has been apart of my life for a long time. Through baseball I have been afforded the opportunity to not only play a game I love, but also learn about myself through challenges and adversity. With the help of my coaches and parents I have achieved much more than I ever thought possible. As a baseball player I have learned discipline, self confidence, and self control. I have also learned many life lessons that have helped prepare me for my adult life. Such as, teamwork, leadership, overcoming failure and adversity.
Baseball is the activity I love the most and will always find a way to play the game. My short term goal is for my High School team to go to States this year and graduate with a 3.8 GPA. Then find a college to pursue a major to support career goals and play baseball. Long term, to take baseball as far as I can. Knowing how hard it is to make the Major League and that one injury could end the career of any athlete, I am focused on a career apart from Baseball as my plan A and if fortunate enough to make it as a baseball player all the better.
As a player I have always strived to be the hardest working player on the team. I have always tried to lead by example. Picking up teammates when they were down or in a slump. We can only be successful when each player brings their best and we play together as a team.
