I first fell in love with baseball at the age of 3. I began playing on my brother's team who is three years older than me. I have experienced multiple sports like basketball and football, but the attention to detail and dedication that baseball requires is why I have always had an addiction to the game. I love how failing opens a door to success and that there is always something to improve on. I love baseball because I never get bored, there is always something to be thinking about, you always have a job, and there is always a way to prepare yourself for your next play or at bat.
Coachability and learning from mistakes are extremely important lessons that I have learned throughout my baseball career. I play for 3up3down Delucia Baseball Academy and I attend Twin Valley High School where I play on the varsity team. I attended the WWBA Perfect game in Atlanta, Georgia where I had the pleasure of playing against some of the best competition in my age group. The opportunity to compete at the highest level is something I strive for which is why I am dedicated to getting a higher education and continuing my athletic career in college. I value my academics because they offer more than just an answer to a problem or a good grade on an essay, it provides valuable lessons including problem solving and learning how to communicate.
My family has played an important role in my baseball career. We have always been a baseball oriented family which is a main reason why I fell in love with the game. My mother and father have always been supportive and have provided me with the resources for success. I am extremely grateful for all the time and money they have put in to make me happy through the game of baseball. My brother, Jack has been my best friend my whole life. I had the opportunity to play with Jack on the varsity baseball team last year because he was a senior and I was a freshman. This experience allowed my parents to watch us play together which was a very special moment in their lives. I am so thankful for the support my family has given me.
