Douglas Weaver '24 Recruiting Profile

      I'm getting ready to start my freshman year in high school. I'm looking forward to the challenge of the academic year and the spring baseball tryouts.  I have been fortunate enough to be on a travel team for the last 6 years. The first couple of years made me who I am today, a dedicated and hard working teammate. We suffered a lot of losses in the beginning but came together as a team. We worked very hard at getting better and can now say we have been winning quite a few games. In those years I played right field, first base, second base, and pitched. Recently I tried out for another travel team and made it for short stop and pitcher. 

    My main goal is to get as much experience as I can to get ready for a college career in baseball. I know it takes a lot of hardwork and dedication not only on the field but also in the classroom. Being a freshman and all, I'm not real sure what my major will be for college. Seeing how I love computers and I'm an up coming actor it will probably in one of those fields. I just want to be sure about my major because it is a life long commitment 

   I'm looking for a program that fits me athletically and academically. With my work ethic and baseball knowledge I feel I could compete at a college level when that time comes.
