Personal Statement

My name is Brian Korchok from the class of 2023 at Spring-Ford Area High School in Royersford, PA. When I started playing baseball at 5 years old I knew I had found what I loved. When I was only 7 years old, the travel coach from my recreational team talked to my parents and I about possibly playing Travel Baseball. I went to the tryouts and was instantly impressed with the amount of competitiveness travel baseball offered. This travel team allowed me to make many connections to where I am now. Throughout the number of travel baseball teams that I've been apart of, I have seen many competitive teams and that allowed me to develop my own competitive nature. I am very interested in playing baseball through college and hopefully after. When my baseball career comes to an end, I still want to be tied into the sport that I love.

I've trained with Tom Pletcher at Triple Crown Academy since I was 8 years old.
Hitting

As part of my pitching training, I have also been working with Tom Pletcher at Triple Crown Academy on my hitting. Sessions were typically 30 minutes of pitching, then 30 minutes of hitting.
Winter Development Program
8 years
I participated in a 20 week Winter Player Development program at Triple crown since I was 7. The program focused on hitting every week, and switched between fielding and pitching every other week.
Advanced Pitching Clinic

Fall 2020: I participated in an advanced pitching clinic taught by Joe Moore. Focus was on accuracy and control in different scenarios.
Throwing Velocity Clinic
1 year
Winter 2020: I participated in a clinic taught by Joe Moore which focuses on improving throwing velocity. The program combines strength training in the weight room, arm care and pitching mechanics.
Strength and Conditioning with ZOPS
1 year
Starting in October 2020, I began working with Coach Zack Zollers of Zollers Optimal Physical Synergy (ZOPS). Coach designed a customized strength and conditioning program for me. I work with Coach twice a week. He adjusts the program as needed to ensure I continue to develop.
