Playing baseball at the highest level has always been a dream of mine. Ever since I was four years old, I have had a love of baseball. I remember begging my parents to take me out to the ball field, spending hours catching and hitting with my dad and on a variety of Little League teams. Baseball is my passion, and playing at the collegiate level is the next step in becoming the best player I can be. I want to help push myself and my teammates to be the best we can be and hopefully lead to a championship. I believe that hard work leads to winning and success. I am searching for a college or university that fits my needs, both academically and athletically. I want to make a positive contribution to a team, and in college.
Getting recruited into college will take more than just average athletics and academics. Athletically and academically, I have a strong work ethic and am willing to put in the time and effort needed to be successful. Athletically, I feel that I bring speed and a strong bat to the team. I pride myself on having a high on-base percentage and excellent defense. In the classroom, I bring a desire to learn at the highest level. I am currently in the top 2% of my class and a sixteen-time distinguished honor roll student, ever since the start of seventh grade. I have earned Gold Academic Teams recognitions and many awards at my school including a sportsmanship award. So far, I have a 4.0 grade point average in high school, carrying a workload that contains all honors or AP courses. Lastly, I bring a hardworking and determined attitude to face all challenges that come my way. I will not take losing as an option. I will push my teammates and myself to become the best players and people we can be. I stay calm during hard times and work well under pressure bringing leadership and a positive influence to a team.
My goal for the recruiting process is to play college baseball at a great university. I hope to play at the highest level of baseball and study at the highest level of academics. My sights are set on selective academic colleges. Nothing will stop me from reaching this goal, and I work hard every day to excel. Although I am confident in my abilities, I want to push my skills even farther to become a better baseball player. I want to learn from others and be coached by a strong coaching staff. I have goal of developing ever better skills on the field, but I also hope to push my mind to the limit in the classroom. Overall, I want to spend my time in college and on a team, becoming a better person. In 20 years, I want to look back on my accomplishments with pride and respect.
