Personal Statement
Being a student athlete I have learned how to set goals, and what is necessary to meet them. Ever since I was very young my biggest goal has been to play professional baseball. To achieve my goal I have put in countless hours working out at the local YMCA, throwing with my father, and attending local camps. While working is very important to achieving my goal, I’ve realized that no matter how much work I put in it is not guaranteed that I will reach my goal. Therefore, I realize that I also must have a back up plan meeting that I have to get done school. Grades are very important to me, and without good grades I will not be able to go to college or potential get a job. One big thing that is very important to achieving my goal is being coachable. Coaches look for classy people, and the type of people that want to get better. I am very respectful, and many past coaches and teachers can say that I listen well, and want to get better at everything that I do.
