Dear Coach,

I have loved baseball since I was 4 years old.  Always had a passion for it. My dream has always been to play baseball for as long as I can, and I want to play at the next level. I work very hard in the classroom. If I get an grade below an 80 for the quarter, I am not allowed to play baseball. School is very important to me and I try my best every day. I would be a great candidate for your team because I can be a leader, on and off the field. Winning is important to me, but just to be able to play baseball and watch myself improve as a player is unbelievable. I work so hard to achieve my goals as a baseball player, and I hope I can do that on your team. I believe that if you decide to give me a scholarship, you will never regret it. I will work as hard as I can everyday. I am a sophomore in high school, and last year I started on my school's varsity team. Coach tells me all the time that I dedicate all that I can to being successful on the field.
