What I believe separates me from the rest of the athletes is my work ethic. I really developed my work ethic when I played on this team called Eastern Mass All-Stars. They taught me more than baseball, they taught me that brotherhood on a team is just as important as being able to hit a home run. This team only played in one tournament but it was the best tournament of my life, it was the Cooperstown tournament, 110 teams, one Eastern Mass. During playoffs we only had 3 hours of sleep and played 4 games. We ended up winning it all after that, it changed how I played baseball and how I was a person as a whole. I know I will not be the best player a coach will ever see in his life, but I will out work the other players on the field, in the gym and in the classroom. I know talent will only get a player so far, so I make sure I push myself to the best of my abilities. The same goes in the classroom. I may not achieve a 4.0 GPA or be top in my class, but I put in the effort and put up the best grades I possibly can. I will not always get an A on a paper or test, but if I put in the effort I know I can put in, then I know I did the best I possibly could in the classroom. I know I will be working harder than any other guy out there.
I am a leader at heart. When my teammates are down I will go up to them and tell them I have their back and go out and get that big hit or make the big catch in the last half inning of the game. I am always positive and lead by example. I am not afraid of being a leader or stepping up in big moments and showing what I am truly made of. This is what I can bring to a team, and also what I bring to the classroom.
