Personal Statement
Dear coaches: thank you for taking the time to research my profile. My name is Lily Roumelis, and I'm a 5'11", 160 lb first baseman for the NE Fury Platinum 18U college prep team. I graduate high school in 2025. Currently I attend La Salle Academy in Providence, RI where I'm enrolled in the Honors program with a weighted GPA of 98.02. I have been the starting Varsity 1B since freshman year, and have earned All-Division, All-State, and D1 Championship honors in my sophomore season. Currently I am committed to softball year round as my primary sport, as it's my college athletic goal. Some highlights about me, I was selected for the USA Softball U14 HPP team for Region 1 in 2021, and have been recognized by Extra Inning Softball as #60 1B in the 2025 class. When I get to college, I think I would like to get my degree in business or marketing, maybe related to finance or entrepreneurship, and of course I would like to play softball. I am great with time management and get every school assignment done on time, as well as making time to focus on my gym and training facility workouts to stay in shape for the season. I have great communication skills with coaches and teammates and I’m always willing to work hard for the things I want to achieve athletically and the student I strive to be academically.
