I couldn’t imagine my life without baseball. My name is Nathan Yunick and I’ve been playing baseball competitively for 8 years now. My goal in life is to compete at the highest level possible and learn along the way. The more and more I play the game the more it teaches me. Especially pitching in tight and emotional games. Such as the final in the Canadian Westerns this year, where I went 4 innings only giving up 2 runs with a limited pitch count.
I currently play on the Regina Wolfpack 18U AAA in the summer. I also played for Team Saskatchewan this spring, for Spring Training in Vero Beach and the Best of the West in Kamloops. In October I plan to play in the Desert Fall Classic in Las Vegas for Team Big League Experience.
I'm a strong team leader on the bump. Leading my team with success with attacking the zone early and getting weak contact. I always like learning from my teammates and seeing routines and ways of doing things differently. Incorporating plyos and more stretching to be able to protect and feel better while playing. I strive to become the best pitcher and person I can be and be able to play at the highest level. Playing college ball at the highest level is the dream for me. I work hard all year round to get better. I am highly motivated and ready to further my academic and athletic careers.
