Personally as a student athlete, my goal would to be successful in school. Following my education is to become the best baseball player I know I can be. My goal is to graduate college and go professional, but my back up plan is to become a physical therapist assistant. During my games, I always play 110% and show the care for the game. My teammates know I have their back in any situation during the game. Someone makes an error you have to tell them it’s okay, that one mistake doesn’t define who you are as an athlete but what you do after the mistake is. You have to be willing to pick your teammates up for the team and not yourself. As a pitcher, I personally don’t like when fielders make errors but nobody is perfect and I let them know that it’s okay, just get the next one. I know i’m not the biggest dog in the pile, but my attitude is. I have the mind set that nobody is going to outplay me or out smart me, though it may happen on paper it’s not happening in person. My academics come first, I maintain A’s and B’s but sometimes I slip and have a C but when I slip I get my stuff back together and rise to the challenge. I have a 4.195 GPA . As a student athlete, i’m going to grind in school while I grind on the field and become the best team player I can be.
