My name is Rick Strubel and I am from Huron, South Dakota. I have many goals I would like to achieve in my life. One of my goals if to obtain a degree in optometry and become an optometrist. I would also like to continue to play baseball in college. One of the highlights of my baseball career is going down to Florida to play for the Baseball Factory team. I learned a great deal from the professional coaches as well as the other players in Florida. I learned the amount of dedication, hard work, and commitment it takes to progress in the sport of baseball. Another highlight of my baseball career is being starting shortstop on both my spring ball and legion ball teams. I am ready to dedicate myself to getting a college education, and would really appreciate being able to play baseball as I obtain my undergraduate degree. I feel I have a lot to offer any team--dedication, athletic ability, sportsmanship, and a desire to learn.
