Personal Statement
My name is Dakotah Danner and I am a SENIOR in high school. My goals are to earn a degree in Sports Psychology and play baseball at the highest level. I will always continue working hard in the classroom and on the field. I would like to be a Golden Spikes award winner or Dick Howser player of the year. As a catcher, I would like to strive for the Johnny Bench award as well.
I have played varsity baseball for my high school since my freshman year. I also play on travel ball teams since I was 9 years old and won several championships. I am seen as a leader on the teams I play on. I have excellent field awareness and calm under pressure. I was raised in a military family that demanded respect, hard work, honesty and loyalty. I believe these attributes have been the cornerstones of my leadership. Teamwork and being competitive is very important to me, as well as being a team player not just when you win, but all the time. Reaching my physical goals would be a priority for me (faster, stronger) but even more important to me would be to strive hard in all that I do giving a 100% effort. I would never stop learning or become lazy in my craft! I was always taught that hard work out does talent if talent does not work hard! I am certainly not the smartest student athlete, but I will put as much heart in as I do in my craft of baseball.
