Personal Statement
My name is Dustin Hill, I am looking forward to taking the next step in my life and going to college. I have always dreamed of playing college baseball. It would be a huge honor to play college ball.
I am one of the hardest workers on and off the field. I currently have a 3.3 GPA through high school, but my Senior year GPA is a 3.7. I am very dedicated to baseball. I stay after practice to just get a few more ground balls in and take a few more swings. I have started since my Sophomore season. My team and I have won 2 District Championships, Runner-up in District, Runner-up in Region, and finished 3rd in state. We are a highly competitive team. Last year was rough for me on the field. I had to fight through some rough spots on the field but I hung in there and never complained. I always want to do what's best for the team. This year my goals for my Senior season are to win district, win region, win sub state, and to get the team back into the State Tournament. Our coach doesn't name captains on our team but he always looks to me to get our team going. I am a very vocal leader on our team and have been since Sophomore year. I play every play like it is the last play I'll ever play.
I am currently 5 foot 9 inches and weigh around 175 pounds. I play pretty much anywhere. My main position is 3rd base and pitcher. I can also play catcher, 1st, and play some outfield too. My batting average last year was around .305 and Sophomore year it was around .425.
I would love to play college ball somewhere around Tennessee or Alabama, but I will play anywhere that I can earn my college degree in the Medical field or in Teaching. If I were to come onto a college campus and play ball I would give it my all on the field and in the class room.
