Brandon Ashworth '13 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'11" 17 year old and will be an incoming Senior (fall of 2012) at Goodpasture Christian School in Madison, Tennessee. Thanks to my parents, I have had the privilege of playing baseball since I was four years old. I am mainly a middle infielder, but can also play outfield. Up until last year, I have hit right handed only in competition. I trained through the past 2 off seasons on Switch Hitting and with the encouragement of my Summer Travel Team Coaches last year, I Switch Hit in competition last Summer. My glove is very good and I have a strong arm. I love the game and work hard to improve my skills and play or train year round. I started at short stop my Freshman year on the JV team. My sophmore year I made and started on the varsity team and played second and third base. Our team won our District Tournament. My junior year I started at short stop and batted 5th in every game all the way through the post season. I batted right handed only this season as I felt I was able to make a bigger impact from that side. We won our District and Region Tournaments and were the D1 AA State Champions with a record of 38-3-1. I have participated in several showcase camps. I would love the opportunity to play college baseball at any level. I want to be able to make an impact on a team and feel that I have the desire, work ethics, and drive to acieve this goal.
