Personal Statement
I have had a ball in my hand since before I could walk, and my parents haven't stopped encouraging me since. They have given me the chance to play many different sports as soon as possible. This even meant playing in a softball league with my older sister since baseball wasn't offered at my age.
I have an older sister and a younger brother. My dad works for the fire department, and my mom is a fitness director at a private club. I believe I get a lot characteristics from them such as knowing the benefit of hard work and a competitive nature. My family has been very supportive of me in all that I do. I also play other sports in school. I played quarterback for my football team, and point guard for the basketball team.
This year I've had the opportunity to start as a freshman on my varsity baseball team. I attend Abilene Wylie High School, which is coming off back to back 4A Texas State Championships. Another notable accomplishment includes making the Junior League World Series in Taylor, Michigan last season as a part of the Wylie Junior League All-Stars. We had the opportunity to compete against baseball teams from around the world. These experiences have given me a great idea of what its takes to compete at a high level, both physically and mentally. I am looking for a school that lets me continue playing the game I love while helping me pursue my dreams athletically and academically.
