From the time I started playing baseball when I was 4 I knew I loved the game. What I didn't expect is how it would sculpt my life and my experiences. Over the past 11 years of playing baseball (7 of them playing travel baseball), I have learned how to not only become a better baseball player, but also become a better teammate and leader. I have never been the outspoken, vocal leader, but instead I have led by my actions both on the baseball field and in the classroom. Through hard work and dedication, I have had many achievements in my athletic career but the ones I am most proud of are 1.) being the number one pitcher on my high school baseball team as a freshman; 1.16 ERA & 3.5/1 K to BB ratio; and 2.) being the only freshman on the varsity basketball team as well. In addition to being a multi sport athlete on the field, I have excelled in the classroom as well where I have a 3.5 GPA. My relationship with God drives me to always work to become a better person and help those in my community who are less fortunate. I spend my summers not only on the baseball field but volunteering my time at a local food pantry in my community and helping at our local animal shelter as well.
When I was 12 I realized that being a student athlete in college was a real possibility, I decided I was going to do whatever it took to achieve my dream of playing college baseball. I want to earn everything I achieve and I am willing to put in the work to make it happen. Baseball has always been very important to me, but I also realize that getting a top notch education is equally, if not more important to me. I want to play baseball at a school that will allow me to contribute on the field as a Freshman and help push me to be the best player on the field. Just as importantly I want to get an education that will allow me to get a good job in a field I enjoy. I don't have a particular size college I am focused on, but what is important to me is to leave an impact on others wherever I am blessed to play.
Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ, who gives me strength"
