This past year I wasn’t a varsity starter, mostly because as a 5’8 catcher I am constantly being over looked. Yet I feel that this ‘setback’ allows me to work harder than my competition for the things I have in life and truely understand what it means to earn them.
In the small time that I’ve played the game, I have went through countless coaches, teams, and instructors, yet no matter what jersey I have on my back, I’m always able to strive to bring my squad closer to winning; whether by an inch or a mile. No matter how many hits I could take, I keep getting back up because I love baseball and that all I need to keep me going.
