Personal Statement
My dad introduced me to baseball when I was 6 year's old and told me how his dad had always dreamed of playing professional baseball before he went off to war. Ever since then it has been my goal achieve that dream not only for myself, but in his memory too. In my baseball career, I have learned to value hard work, determination, and perseverance. These characteristics have fueled my desire to be the best player I can be.
My college goals is to obtain my undergrad in 4 years. After that I will work towards earning an advanced degree. I am looking for schools that will challenge me both athletically and academically. I've had a few injuries over my career that required me to take a step back and work even harder to excel in my sport. Also, like any athlete, I've been cut from teams and have used that as motivation to work even harder to overcome that setback and excel, particularly against those teams.
