July 2019Baseball is a significant part of my life. Ever since I was five, I have had a burning passion and love for this sport that is still strong to this day. My first years of playing baseball consisted of playing with local city and club teams where I gained much experience in adapting to new teams, players, coaches, and playstyles. When I started high school, I played varsity baseball my freshman year for a homeschool organization called T.A.C.A. We played in both a private and homeschool league with the highlight of the season being our participation in the Homeschool World Series in Florida. Then starting my sophomore year, I transferred to a local public high school, Grapevine High School, where I played on the JV Blue team. This past summer, I played on a travel summer team- Bartulluci 16U Baseball Club. I am also continuing to take lessons for both pitching and hitting, as well as, working out consistently. I also have two local camps/showcases that I will be attending in September and October.
I am left-handed in both throwing and batting and my primary position is pitcher with my secondary position being an outfielder. I pride myself on being a coachable player and being able to handle instruction and constructive criticism well. Throughout the years, I have been complimented both by my coaches and the coaches of opposing teams on my maturity and confidence on the pitching mound. In addition, I believe that encouraging my teammates is a must to becoming a better person and ballplayer. Also, I have a 4.0+ GPA in school. Finally, through my sheer love and determination for this sport, I continually strive to become the best ballplayer I can be.
In the future, my plan is to major in Entrepreneurship and to play baseball at a college level. I am excited and looking forward to finding a college that fits both my academic pursuits and my baseball dreams.
