Sophia Tearman '21 Recruiting Profile

I am only freshman and I am already super excited to play college level basketball! I aspire to play for a high level school with great coaches, and I hope that I will eventually be able to earn a spot on the starting five. I love the kind of program where everyone is working hard, and my favorite part of basketball is when my teammates and I are all giving everything we have and are working cohesively as a team.  I will always give my all and bring positivity and dedication to the court. I frequently get comments on how coachable I am.

My skills on the basketball court include strong defense, the strength to drive to the basket, and being a generous passer. 

In terms of academics, I am a "GT - Gifted and Talented" student and am in my high school's first ever year of the STEM Academy. I have chosen to pursue an engineering endorsement along side my high school requirements. I'm proud to report that so far, I have earned straight A's, while taking the most rigorous classes available to me. For college, I would love a school with strong science, particularly marine biology!
