Personal Statement
My name is Christian Gonzalez. I was born and raised in PR. I've been playing baseball for 14 years. I currently live in Houston, TX. I have basically grown up and lived around the baseball fields. My father and my brother were both baseball players. With his example I began to love and respect this sport. I started my baseball career when I was 3 years old. Since then, my life has been dedicated to baseball and my studies. My passion, my skills, my talent, my commitment and discipline have led me to participate in very important events during my short career. I have been a fundamental part of great events and championships where I have obtained very important prizes and recognitions such as; Puerto Rico Championship, two Puerto Rico Sub-Championships, 2014 Caribbean Series Sub-Championship and Cooperstown 12u World Series 2016.
Currently I keep working and developing my talent and my skills. I train day by day with the same passion and commitment that distinguishes me. For 14 years I have stayed focused working on improving my skills and abilities as a 3B / RHP. I am part of the Summer Creek High School Varsity Team and the Marucci Elite Texas Baseball Team. At the end of each game I do an analysis of my performance and from that I make a plan to make modifications and adjustments if necessary. I put into practice what I learn from my coaches and trainers. I am currently focused on how to develop better skills and abilities as a 3B / RHP on the field of play. I am a disciplined, competitive, focused and very responsible person. I keep my focus on my high school classes and baseball. I’m looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believed I have the talent , the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program.
