My name is Jacob Lilley. I am currently a Junior attending Atascocita High School and will be graduating in 2022. I consider myself to be a leader on and off the ball field as well as in the classroom.
I have played on club/travel teams since the age of 6. I was able to compete with top teams in my area and state over the course of my baseball seasons. I am known to my teammates as a serious ball player and always putting my team above self. I have been fortunate to work with amazing coaches that not only taught me to play baseball at an elite level, but have instilled the need to spend time perfecting my skills, understanding the importance of being a team player and always keeping a solid focus on my academics. In the course of my baseball career I have played several positions: Third Base, First Base, Catcher and Pitcher. If I had to name one thing that I am know for, I would have to say that it is for my bat.
I have always been a dual athlete with football. I am currently on the Varsity offensive line for my high school team. I believe that it says a lot about my character to be able to maintain the schedule I need to not only to play a sport during the season, but also practice the other sport during off season all while maintaining my academics. It takes a great deal of focus, time management and I am lucky to have a great support system with my family.
I have maintained an A/B average while taking my scheduled courses in high school. I take advanced courses in math and sciences as these are particular to my interest in engineering. My goal is to attend a university that will compliment my wish to continue playing baseball while working towards my degree.
