Asa Sampson '25 Recruiting Profile

I would like to have the opportunity to play in college because ever since I started baseball I have wanted to play at the highest level. I am a natural born leader. I am a great motivator and love to support my teammates to compete at their best level. I plan to play this great game of baseball at the collegiate level while pursuing a business degree. My goal is to one day become a business owner. I am a good candidate to any team because I am coachable. I enjoy being coached so that I can continue to grow and be an asset to my team. I have a strong disciplined work ethic that has always be commendable. I play my game with passion and confidence, but yet I am humbled and gracious. I truly believe in kindness. Each and every person I encounter whether on the field of off deserves to be treated with kindness and respect. I humble disposition sets me apart from many of my peers competing at a high level. I am not boastful or prideful, but yet I believe in myself. I try to encourage my teammates to do the same. I try to lead by example. Academically, I have overcome many obstacles. Early on in education I struggled with staying focused. With the help of my parents, I have made great gains in education. I strive to work hard and make good grades. I am working very hard to close some gaps that were created early on in my learning. While I may not be in all honors classes, I work extremely hard to excel in all my classes. So academically, I differ because of my need to have a strong work ethic to achieve success.
