Mack Slaton '27 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mack Slaton and I have been playing baseball since I could hold a ball in my hand and have never slowed down!  My Mom says my Dad taught me how to play baseball about the same time I learned to walk!  He passed away when I was in 4th grade but he gave me a great start and I play every game, every pitch for him and in his honor.  

My aspirations are to play college baseball at the highest level possible.  I feel I am a good candidate because not only do I have the skills, baseball IQ, high academics, and work ethic, I have something else that can't be compared to any other characteristics.  I am resilient.  I am a survivor.  I am motivated in a way others aren't.  I will be successful, not only for myself, but in honor of my Dad and all he stood for and taught me.   I believe these characteristics make me different from my peers.     

I do everything to the best of my ability, whether it's school, sports, or being a good person and I do it with a positive mindset.  That's what makes me a good candidate for a team.
