Braeden Scherzer '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Braeden Scherzer, I am currently 5'10" and 160lbs. I am a left handed hitter and a right handed thrower. My primary position is short stop and secondary pitching. I also, play third base and centerfield.  Since the age of 4 I have been playing the game of baseball. I am a ball player that respects the game. I have been blessed to have great coaches that has shared their knowledge and help develop the work ethics I have today.  I believe that practice makes perfect (thanks to mom) and that everything is achievable if you believe and work for it -  Nothing is given but earned! My coaches have told me that I communicate well on the field and that I am very coachable. I don't come to practice knowing everything, that I always strive to learn something new.  To grow as a player and teammate. I listen to what is said and put in motion what needs to be done. I strive for success whether it's on the field or off. I also, know that to be that kind of ball player academics plays an even bigger role. My school work comes first. When it comes to college I would like to major in Engineering and hope to use my degree to better serve my community.

I look forward to the next four years of high school ball. This is something I have worked and trained for and can't wait to show you what I am capable of doing on the field and in the classroom to get to the next level of ball.
