Yareb Martinez '17 Recruiting Profile

As a student, I am very dedicated, responsible, respectful and a hard worker. I currently have a 4.02 GPA and I will be taking the SAT in March 2016. I take my academics and baseball very seriously.  I manage my time very well to keep up my academics workload and to have my best performance during practices and games. I play for John Champe High School Varsity baseball team. John Champe competes in the 4A Division of the VHSL. I consider myself very athletic and well-rounded baseball player.  I have been the shortstop on my school varsity team since I was a freshman.  Last year as a sophomore, I hit .364 and was selected to the All Conference Team and I received the MVP award for the John Champe 2015 season. According to Prep Baseball Report (PBR), I am ranked 7th as SS and 51 overall player within the State of Virginia. As a team, we competed in a variety of highly recognized baseball tournaments, such as Perfect Game in Ft. Myers, FL.
