Hill Hubbard '27 Recruiting Profile

I love the game of baseball, and the whole atmosphere around it; creating new bonds and relationships that you wouldn't have outside of baseball. I want to improve my skills, so that they can take me as far as I can go in my career. I am very hard working and determined. I don't give up easily. Nothing comes to you in life for free. You have to work for it. Even if that means working alone, by myself, I do what it takes to win and be succesful. I don't stop fighting for what I want until I get it. When I do acheive that goal and what I want, from there the sky is the limit. I go above and beyond. Not only do I work hard on the field and in the weight room, I work hard in the classroom. I love learning. Learning new things while solving problems in school, are just as important as baseball. I love being coached on how to improve my game and I would love to play for a team that can help me improve as a person, and also improve as a player. I know it’s going to be hard, long, and difficult journey, but I am willing to accept the challenge, and give it my all.

When I step on the diamond, something switches on in my head. I don't think of anything else but playing right here, right now, in this moment. When I play, I'm locked in. Im also the teammate that picks my other teammates up. Maybe they made an error, or got caught in a pickle on the bases. I’m always there for them and when I'm not hitting or in the field, I'm cheering my boys on from the dugout, because brotherhood means everything to me. When I am in the field, I let the infield know what we're doing on this play or this situation. I try and help the team out any way I can. All around, I think I'm an amazing teammate and I love bringing life to the team. When we are losing, I make sure we aren't down. The game isn't over until the clock runs out or it’s the end of the last inning. I try and help us rally and come back and win, because who doesn't love to win. I enjoy baseball and everything it has to offer, and look forward in seeing what my career has in store for me.
