Patrick Beck '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Patrick Beck and I live in Ashburn, Virginia.  Playing baseball at the collegiate level has been an aspiration of mine my whole life and I work hard every day to achieve this goal.  Every other day I train with former NFL football player Lemar Marshall to improve my speed, strength, and explosiveness.  I also work every week with former MLB catcher Mark Rueffert and Diamond Sports Training Director of Baseball Jason Bagby to improve my pop-time and throwing technique and my swing and approach, respectively.  This past season, all my hard work in the off-season paid off, achieving First Team All-Capital Conference 13 catcher honors, as well as being voted by my coaches as team MVP and defensive player of the year.  During the season, I caught 62% of runners stealing and led the team in almost every offensive category, batting .438 with 9 doubles and 15 RBI.  This summer, I will be playing on the Stars Baseball 17u White team under Coach Bill Jersey, and I look to carry my success from the spring season into the summer and fall.  Academically, I am proud to attend Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, which has been rated one of the top high schools in the country.  I have been able to maintain a 4.16 GPA throughout high school and my SAT and ACT scores are 2160 and 35, respectively.  I wish to play college baseball at an institution that offers both high athletic and academic standards and I am willing to do whatever it takes to play baseball at the next level because I know I have the dedication, work ethic and skill to do so.
