Thank you for taking a look at my profile. It's not easy talking about yourself this way, but here it goes. I think what sets me apart from my peers are my baseball (and basketball) IQ, my work ethic, my empathy for fellow teammates, and being a leader on and off the field. My peers and family say it's my heart for the team and game that sets me apart; but I'd also like to believe that I'm always looking for ways to improve, strengthen and grow as a player, while never being satisfied in my current state. As a two-sport varsity athlete, I love everything about team sports: the hard work, the collaborative team environment, the hours and hours on the field (and court), continually improving and helping teammates get better. Even though I’m graduating from the largest high school in the state, I have been raised by military parents with Midwestern values, and it shows in my work ethic and my even, somewhat quiet demeanor. I am very interested in schools and teams that have a strong sense of community and treat each other like brothers. While I love both sports, I know it's unrealistic to think about playing both in college; so if I'm honest with myself, I'm a bit better baseball player than basketball.
