My parents and grandparents are the most influential people in my life. They have taught me the value of family, friendship, hard work and respect. These are core values of mine that have helped me to become the person I am today.
Sports have reinforced my belief in working hard to accomplish goals. Sport also teaches you humility and how to deal with setbacks. When it comes to successes, my great-grandfather, who was a national caliber track athlete, always said let other people talk about you. Be humble.
I love the game of baseball, and I love to play it hard. Work ethic and hustle are two things I really value. I will not get outworked on the baseball field. One of my coaches said this about me, "if practice was three hours long, Dylan would still want to take 100 more ground balls before he left the field!" I have been known to turn the lights on at my high school and hit until late in the night.
I value my teammates. I always want to be a good teammate to them. I will always prepare myself to the best of ability to help my team win.
Wherever I end up for college, I want to help my team get better. I will always challenge myself to be the best that I can be.
I also will spend a lot of time in the weight room. I like the grind on the field and in the weight room. I always want to get stronger.
Academically, I will make sure to take care of my studies. I have shown that I am very capable in the classroom, and that will not change in college. My goals academically are to work in a health related field, such as physical therapy.
