I may be the player you need to round out your 2024 recruiting class. I am currently 6’2” tall and weigh 185 pounds. I am a right-handed pitcher and utility player. I’ve mostly played middle-infield, but I’ve also played third, catcher, and first for my high school and travel teams. I was a starting pitcher and MIF during my Freshman and Sophomore years and was mostly used as a closer during my Junior year. My top fastball is around 87 and I expect to be around 90 by the start of the Spring 2024 high school season. I have five pitches that I can throw reliably for strikes – fastball, curveball, sinker, cutter, and change-up. My curveball is my best pitch but my cutter and sinker have been getting better and more consistent. I work with Dan Olds and the team at R&D Baseball in Herndon, VA.
I play baseball to compete and have fun. I’ve done a lot of things to compete, like play football, basketball, or even debate, but I LOVE playing baseball and I have for as long as I can remember. I love the teamwork that it takes to succeed, I love the strategy behind baseball and how it can change dynamically from pitch to pitch. My desire is to continue playing baseball at the next level while earning a world class degree in Engineering and/or Business.
I expect to graduate with a cumulative GPA over 3.8 (including 8 AP classes). I have been on the Athlete Honor Roll and have qualified for multiple National Honor Societies. I am also active outside of baseball, including being an Eagle Scout, and active in community service.
I am seeking a program with strong academics, coaches that believe in player development, a culture of working hard, playing hard, and supporting each other as a team to achieve success. I love baseball and I believe the lessons that I learned on the field have helped me succeed in other areas of my life. I am eager to bring that same love of hard work and that same love of baseball to a college program that needs a very good RHP, a utility player, and a terrific team-player and leader.
