Jacob Brudke '21 Recruiting Profile

    The game of baseball has been around me all my life after being raised by my stepfather Kevin Brown, who played collegiate level baseball for Liberty University along side his older brother Mike Brown, who is now a scout for the Tampa Bay Rays.  Being dedicated to the game, making sacrifices, and hard work are some of the few aspects to the game of baseball you have to be willing to do to become an elite player.  Over the years my stepfather and his brother have guided me and taught me what I should be doing to get to the next level, every day after school and on the weekends I listen to them, doing whatever it takes to be the best of my abilities. There has been many obstacles that I have had to overcome within my career but I will not let anything stand in the way of fulfilling my dream of playing collegiate level baseball.  I realize that to accomplish my goal I not only have to be willing to put hard work on the field but in my academics as well, which is why I am currently enrolled in the Early College Program at Central Virginia Community College so I will graduate High School with my Associates Degree.  I will continue to become the best student an athlete I possibly can be and I hope one day all of my hard work will pay off.
