As a baseball player, student, and member of the community my father has influenced me to become the best person I can be through hard work, perseverence, and a never-quit attitude. My passion has always has been baseball. Baseball is what I excel at, and I work year-round at in the gym, at the baseball facility, and on the field to be better every time I play. I started competitive travel baseball at the age of eight, and have pushed myself to play at the highest level of baseball ever since. I have learned through my father that if I outwork everyone else I will reach my full potential. Further, heart and passion are as important as speed and strength. I strive to learn, and I am known as being very coachable. I am a teammate first, and my goal is always to be part of a successful team that communicates and functions as one.
My academic goals in high school and college are the same as baseball. I work hard academically to prepare myself for college and my career after baseball. My goals are to remain on the Dean's List, maintain an "A" average, and challenge myself with courses that will benefit my future, such as Business Marketing and Spanish. I want to be successful both on, and off the field.
The biggest obstacle I have had to overcome was a fractured vertebrae during the Spring 2015 season. My doctor prescribed a back brace with limited mobility for 3 months without baseball. This obstacle gave me the opportunity to focus on gaining strength at PowerTrain Sports. I worked 4 days a week on core strength, upper-body, and leg workouts. I became bigger, stronger, and faster which better prepared me as a baseball player both mentally and physically. I continue to go to PowerTrain to maintain top physical condition and prevent future injury utilizing a baseball-specific core workout program.
What sets me apart as a baseball player is that I am a leader both on, and off the field. I am as mentally prepared as I am physically to be the best player possible. I am a competitor that uses all my mental and physical energy. I have a high baseball IQ with a vast array of travel and national showcase experience. I want to be the player batting, pitching, or fielding at crucial times of the game. I am passionate about the game, and will do whatever it takes for my team and I to be successful.
