Dear College Coaches,
My name is Brett Cook. The goals I have for my collegiate career have been set sense I was five. My main goals for myself and whatever team I am fortunate enough to be a part of include winning the College World Series, becoming a leader and captain, graduating top of my class, and being an All-American. There are multiple qualities that make me different from other prospects you may be interested in. I have been trained in mental toughness, and learned how to relax and excel in high pressure situations. I will also be attending a military high school (by choice) so I can continue to improve my discipline. However, the quality that separates me from the rest of the recruits is my unmatched work ethic. While most kids are playing video games or watching movies, I am with my trainers improving on speed and strength. While most kids are hanging out with friends and relaxing, I am practicing. I have committed myself to a 10,000 hour practice routine. This routine is a total of 5-7 hours of practice a day, (depending on the day) in which I touch on all five tools for of a baseball, as well as nutrition, mental training, and proper body care and maintenance.
