    In my opinion, baseball is the easiest sport to become obsessed with.  That is exactly what happened after my first time going to a game.  From there, I knew this is what I wanted to do as long as I could. 

   My favorite part of baseball is pitching. I have always loved throwing a baseball, ever since I was a child. Being how I don't throw overhand, people have always criticized my mechanics. I have always found it natural to throw side arm / submarine. It has always been less stressful on my arm.

    Speaking of stressful, academics have been stressful to me. Unlike throwing a baseball, academics have never come natural to me. In pitching, if I win 60% of my games I'm an all star. However, if I get a 60% on a test it's a D-. 

    I know that in the past I haven't succeeded academically , however now that I'm at a boarding school that my parents are paying so much money for. I realize it would be terrible for me to not improve academically, or at least stay focused as much as I can.  

    As you can see, it is very important for me to stay focused. Working as part of a team, as I do in baseball helps me stays focused.
