Hello,
My name is Dominic Cariño, class of 2020 currently attending and playing for Bayside High school in Virginia Beach Virginia. I am a left handed center fielder with secondary position of left or right field. I also have several seasons of experience pitching. What I wish to achieve in college is maximize job opportunities after my years of baseball have finished. I am very determined to be successful and I am always pushing teammates whether it be hyping them up or making them compete for a spot. Challenging myself in multiple aspects is what will get me to where I want to be, when others are going home after practice, I am going for a run. When others are taking a break from sports I am looking for a sport to try or go back to. I love baseball because it takes focus, commitment and a fighters mentality, you can’t just walk on and be a star. I am a competitor; my drive is to be on that starting nine. My work, my talent, my determination will not allow me to sit by and let someone have what I work for. The opportunities college level baseball present along with my deep rooted passion for this game are what motivate me to never quit, to challenge myself mentally and physically. Baseball is my future, college will offer the opportunity to educate myself and establish the foundation of my life after baseball as well as the life experience of playing at the next competitive level. What I seek in a college team is competitive environment, a unified team and opportunity to grow as a player while never losing the Love and Passion I have for this game. Thank you for taking the time to review my profile and personal statement.
