I started playing baseball in kindergarten, and my love for the game has been growing ever since. I began to shift my focus to pitching about two or three years ago, and I'm happy I'm doing that. Soon after I started to take pitching more seriously, I began to lower my arm angle, which increased my velocity quite a bit and made me way harder to hit. I am almost fully sidearm now, though I don't plan to go much lower. Obviously, I can't hit against myself, but the batters I face make it look hard to hit off me. My fastball moves two feet arm side and my changeup drops four feet like a 12-6. I threw an (almost) perfect game in my 14u season. It wasn't a perfect game because I threw two ground balls that were hit to our shortstop, who made two errors. I'm not mad at him though, and I never was. He did make two double plays the next batter, both times. I threw three or four complete game no-hitters and a combined no-hitter.
Baseball has taught me great character and responsibility. The game reveals if you haven't been putting in the work to be your best. As a competitive sports player, I have been learning how to manage my athletic life, my social life, my academic life, and my time for myself, and how to balance them healthily, while still working hard to be the pitcher I dream to be. I'm a Christian and always do my best to show my love to everybody around me.
My college dream is to play baseball and study commercial music, specifically, music production. I have been producing hip-hop, metal, and many other genres for 6 years. A college with a good music department and a great baseball program will help me live out my dream, and I'm putting in all the effort I can to make that happen.
I honestly believe that my grades don't completely accurately display how smart I am. My mom went to college to be a math teacher, and she says the way I do mental math and the speed I do it is crazy. I understand and love very high-level math. It's fascinating to me. My engineering skills are also excellent. I love to create, modify, and take things apart to see how they work. I use this skill to make money now. I work hard at whatever I do and give it my all. I'm also a very fast learner. If I focus on learning something, I will learn it fast and learn to do it the best I can.
I want to find a college that fits me and won't hold me back. I want to be in a place where I can strive to be the best version of myself and be surrounded by people who will support me while I support them, both on and off the field. I want to grow to be responsible, hard-working, loving, faithful, and a pro-level pitcher, all while honoring God in all I do.
