I never thought of myself as someone who would enjoy running track. When my parents signed me up, I was not interested and I went into the season without any expectations. As the season went on I realized that I had potential and that our 4 by 100 could make it to state. Getting a taste of success my sophomore season made me want to dedicate myself to track and to work to improve.
Growing up with parents who wanted me to help them with their projects taught me what hard work is. It showed me that if I dedicate myself 100% to a task it can be accomplished. Going to a school with higher academic standards set me up to be challenged. I’d like to go to a program that will let me compete at a high level and challenge me academically. I believe that I can be a leader and a game changer for any program.
