Respective Coaches,
My name is Tayson Parish and I am a Junior at Hanford High School in Richland, WA. I am a class of 2024 Catcher with a strong desire to play college baseball. My school participates in the Mid Columbia Conference as a 4A school which is the largest school classification in the state of WA. As a sophomore, I started nearly every game on Varsity and totaled 102 innings behind the plate. I had a 25.58% caught stealing rate and my pop time was 2.01. My hitting stats were .340/.435/.813.
I also excel in the classroom and maintain a 3.4 GPA and I am currently participating in a dual credit college program through my school district and community college. I am dedicated to my studies as well as playing baseball.
I play travel baseball for the Tri City Warriors where we play approximately 40-50 games from May through early August. This last summer we participated in multiple showcase tournaments and had a very high success rate, winning or placing in the top 4 in nearly all of them. During my travel season I caught almost every inning for my team and finished the year catching over 170 innings. I had a 29.03% caught stealing rate and my hitting stats improved to .398/.450/.950 while being one of the leaders of my team.
I would love an opportunity to talk with you and for you to get to know me. I love the game of baseball and am a student of the game. I am confident that my work ethic, coachable nature, and desire to improve would be a fit at your program. I would appreciate an opportunity to talk to you more and answer any questions you may have about me.
Thank you,
Tayson Parish
