Personal Statement

I'm a 6'1, 190 lb. Junior at Morgantown High School, WV. My primary position is shortstop. I also play third base, second base and pitch. I respect the game and the people I've played with. I consider myself a great teammate with a positive attitude. I wouldn't be the player I am today without all the great coaches I've played for and having my parents support. Some accomplishments I'm most proud of include: 2021 OVAC 5A All Conference Baseball Team, Ranked by PBR WV as the 2023 #1 Shortstop and the #2 Overall Player. I run a 6.7 sixty and my highest exit velo is 101. In conclusion I would like to assure all of the college coaches interested in me that I'm a very hard worker. I try to be a better student, baseball player and person every day.

Ryan Fluharty is a 2023 SS/3B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Burton, WV who attends Morgantown. Nice young athletic build with plenty of physical projection and strength potential. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance, loads onto his backside and hits best when getting back to his front side, has a short enough swing with some strength at contact, good hand quickness, swung the bat well in games when he got the barrel out front and was able to turn it with authority, projects well as a hitter. 6.93 runner, showed his athleticism well on the move, charges the ball well with fluid glove work out front, compact arm throwing. Very good athlete who will continue to improve as he plays more and gets stronger. Very good student. Ryan Fluharty (2023 SS, Burton, WV) had 2 hits in the game including a triple which was driven well into the RCF game which showed strength present in his advanced physical frame. Showed some big power potential driving a couple balls deep including a loud double to the LCF gap. 60 yard dash: 6.93; 10 yard split: 1.63; IF velo: 79; Exit velo: 89

Official College Recruiting Membership - Columbus, OH Ryan is a RHH MIF that shows as a top prospect on the diamond. At the plate, hands are quick (91 mph exit velocity) as he squares the ball up consistently driving it on a line. Defensively, he takes a quick first step and has plus lateral range as indicated by his superior foot speed of 6.95. He creates angles around the GB with fluid actions. DP turns are quick with zip (52 mph velocity) on his throws. Defensive abilities are outstanding as he shows big play potential. With 3 years to further develop, Ryan has a ton of upside and possesses the skill set that will play at a very high level.
