Personal Statement

My goal for college is to play through all 4 years and go on to get a Master's degree. I am fully committed to wherever I decide to go and want to give my best effort to be the best player I can be for my team and my school's pride. I've been working at my goal of college since I was middle school, and I say only then because I had huge fantasies before then about being a great MLB player for the Milwaukee Brewers! But as I've matured, I've realized the value of a college education, and playing college baseball is just a perk!

UW-Stout Baseball Prospect Camp Evaluation: Name: Caleb Mikel Position: OF 60 yard dash time: 7.28 Velocity across the infield: 61-62 MPH Defense : Caleb has good actions in the outfield. His arm strength should improve as he gets a bit stronger. If he continues to work on his range and outfield drills he projects to be a college outfielder. Hitting: Caleb has a good strong base and uses his hands well. He comes around the ball a bit at times. With work on staying inside the baseball, Caleb should drive the ball better up the middle and to the gaps. I think he could be a very good college hitter.
