Personal Statement
I am 17, I love to play baseball. Playing baseball with friends during and off season of baseball is one of my favorite activities to do. I used to play football for Deforest Area Middle School from fourth to sixth grade (3 years). I started playing baseball in fifth grade again after I had played T-ball for a year. I started catching in baseball in fifth grade and have been catching ever since, my secondary and third position are center and right field. When I get bored with my friends I make my pitcher friends catch and I pitch to them, right now I am learning to throw a 12-6 curve ball from my pitcher friend. I think when I pitch I throw from fifty to sixty somewhere around there (but that's pitching for fun to my friend). I love catching it is a part of my life now and sometimes when I haven't played baseball in a while I miss putting on my catchers gear and miss catching and miss the season and so me and my friend go out and practice on the athletic complex outside of my neighborhood. I am a pretty good academic student and I respect my teachers, I have never been sent to detention and have never been in serious trouble. I do my best in school and I don't slack around when it comes to grades, if I have bad grades I hate it and so then I always try to get the better or best grade I can, my homeroom teacher for freshman to senior year is my future varsity baseball coach. I have five siblings and two married parents. My brother is a senior and going to college next year, my dad attended UW Milwaukee for college. I love to play backyard football with friends anytime and love to play backyard wiffle ball. I love to travel around the country and go to different countries, I love trying new things and things I've never done before. I was in cub scouts from second grade till fourth grade, then became a boy scout and was a boy scout from fifth to six grade, all together I was in the scouts for five years. I am currently in my High school's youth apprenticeship work program, I take four classes at my high school. On Wednesday nights I have a trades class that covers HVAC, electrical and plumbing. I leave school at about noon and go work for my dad's company through my youth apprenticeship, where I learn, experience and practice an adult career in construction and remodeling. I practice communicating with co workers, supervisors and my boss, I also practice taking on and completing tasks I am told to do. I plan on going to college and doing a construction/ remodeling program which will benefit me for my future in the trades and carpentry.
