Personal Statement

My name is Keagon Kaufmann, I am 5’11” and weigh 200 pounds.  I fell in love with the game of baseball ever since I can remember and very much enjoy competing on the field.  Ever since I started travel ball many coaches have told me I have great potential as a pitcher. Also with playing in an upper age bracket and hanging with the older kids I really have realized that they were right.  When I am not pitching, playing almost any position really lets me see almost every situation and know what to do and to execute it the right way.

Ever since I have been pitching at the age of 9 I have had good placement. With every year that goes by my movement and velocity have been growing with the work that I have put in. Also besides pitching my mental awareness of the game is very high.  I would also like to say that I am a very good teammate and help everyone else on the team to be the best player they can be. When it comes to hitting I am a very contact heavy hitter and try to do a job every time I’m up at the plate. My strength and speed are my weaknesses that I am working hard to improve.

Furthering my baseball career at a college would mean the world to me.  It has always been my dream to be able to go past high school baseball and reach the highest level possible.  My preference for any specific college is really non existent. It doesn’t matter how big the college I go to is as long as it has good academics and program I can have an impact on.  Going to a Division 1 school would be an ultimate accomplishment for me, but all divisions of the NCAA have a great high level of play. Along with playing baseball furthering the academic part is very important too. I am also leaning towards business as the major I am interested in.

Thank you for taking the time to read my personal statement and good luck on your upcoming season.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
