Tyler Hewitt '23 Recruiting Profile

     I am an up-and-coming, command-oriented, RHP who throws three pitches for strikes. In March 2021, during my first showcase ever I threw 78 mph. In July 2021, 4 months later, at an event held by PBR, I was clocked at 84 mph. Since July I have added 15 lbs of muscle, and am very excited about my upcoming junior season. The past seasons for both high school and travel ball were extremely productive with a combined 6 complete games. During my high school season, I was named to the All-Conference 2nd team. The three pitchers named to the All-Conference 1st team were all upperclassmen that are currently committed to Kansas St, Valparaiso, and NIU. I had a .977 ERA, and a 1.186 WHIP in a combined 28.2 innings in conference play. This level of play continued all summer as I posted a .863 ERA and a 1.027 WHIP in 24.1 innings against teams from all over the country. My top performance of the summer was against the Decatur Commodores, a highly ranked team out of Illinois. In that game, I threw 7 innings giving up only 4 hits and 1 run.
